Second Chance Dog Rescue is a San Diego–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving homeless dogs by rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing them into loving families. Founded in 2008, the organization focuses on providing essential medical care — including spay/neuter services — and placing each dog in a private foster home until it is adopted.
Unlike a traditional shelter, SCDR does not maintain a kennel facility; instead, all animals are cared for in foster environments that help them adjust and thrive before they find their permanent homes.
