Crayons and Beyond (formerly Crayons to Computers) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to leveling the playing field in the classroom by providing students in need with the tools they need to succeed. Founded in 1997, the organization serves Greater Cincinnati and works directly with teachers to help ensure that a child’s access to school supplies is not limited by financial hardship.
Through its Teacher Resource Center, online ordering, and Hubbard’s Cupboard program, eligible educators can access free supplies including books, pencils, crayons, paper, hygiene items, healthy snacks, and classroom enrichment materials. By providing these resources, Crayons and Beyond also helps reduce the financial burden on teachers who often purchase essential classroom supplies with their own money.
Since its founding, Crayons and Beyond has distributed more than $200 million worth of free supplies and resources to support students and educators in need. By bridging the gap between poverty and academic opportunity, Crayons and Beyond helps give students the resources, confidence, and encouragement to learn, grow, and imagine a brighter future.
