Community Action, Inc. of Central Texas (CAI) is dedicated to helping individuals and families improve their economic self-reliance and quality of life. CAI offers various services, including adult education, health services, Head Start programs, youth services, and community support initiatives.
Through partnerships with local organizations and government agencies, CAI works to address community needs and empower individuals through education, health, and social services. CAI’s mission focuses on creating sustainable change and fostering self-sufficiency among the residents of Central Texas.
CAI’s Breast Cancer Screening Program connects low-income, uninsured women in rural counties with free mammogram and treatment services. This program has been in place since 2004 and has recently expanded to serve more women.
