Children's Surgery International

Children’s Surgery International (CSI) is a nonprofit organization that provides free pediatric medical and surgical services, along with professional education and training, to communities in need worldwide. The organization’s vision is to reduce global healthcare disparities by helping communities acquire the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to deliver life-changing surgical and medical care for children.

Since its inception, CSI has mobilized over 1,400 medical volunteers who have donated nearly 110,000 hours of professional medical care to more than 10,000 children across 15 countries. The organization emphasizes a sustainable approach by providing extensive hands-on training, education, and mentoring to local surgeons and medical personnel, enabling them to continue providing critical care after CSI teams depart.

The organization offers opportunities for both medical and non-medical volunteers to participate in missions, and operates under the motto “Changing lives, one child at a time.” Through partnerships, education, and direct surgical care, Children’s Surgery International works to ensure that children worldwide have access to the life-changing healthcare they desperately need while building sustainable local medical capacity.
