Conscious Alliance is a movement of artists, musicians, food makers and music lovers on a mission to end hunger nationwide.
The organization started as a simple idea from two college students who wanted to harness the power of music communities to give back. The organization began by hosting ‘Art That Feeds’ Food Drives at concerts and music festivals where attendees were invited to donate non-perishable food items in exchange for a limited-edition event poster. We now host over 100 of these food drives a year across the country.
Taking what they learned about logistics from touring with musicians, they began working with food brands by facilitating the logistics and trucking to pick up excess food products slated for the landfill and re-routing it and distributing to families suffering from food insecurity. They now work with over 70 food brands including Hormel Foods and Applegate. In addition to rescuing and routing food, they host regular large-scale meal distributions with partners across the U.S.
They offer disaster relief support by feeding families affected by natural disasters. They believe in empowering young people and ensuring kids have access to great food, so much of our food distribution programming is centered around children through school giveaways and backpack programs.
This year Conscious Alliance have provided 2 Million meals to families suffering from food insecurity all across the country. Since inception, they have distributed over 8 Million meals to those in need.
