Juvenile Protective Association

The Juvenile Protective Association (JPA) is a Chicago-based organization founded in 1901. JPA envisions a world where no child ever has to struggle alone.

JPA works to achieve this goal by bringing compassionate, innovative mental health resources directly to children in need and the adults who support them. Through school-based therapy services and community outreach programs, JPA aims to support children facing adversity, ensuring they have the tools to thrive emotionally and academically.

JPA also provides support and consultation to the adults who support these children, including their families and teachers. Today, JPA partners with 24 schools throughout 16 Chicago neighborhoods. JPA continues to expand and recently opened their first neighborhood clinic to extend and continue therapy services to families and community members beyond the school setting.
