To combat the growing inequities of the foster system, My Lifebridge Academy was created to help teens and young adults learn the skills needed to navigate life successfully through education, employment, and mentoring.
Lifebridge mobilizes, organizes, and equips communities to provide foster and at-risk youth with a safe, healthy environment to learn, grow and reach their full potential.
They accomplish their mission in two primary ways:
- Their responsive efforts assist with stabilizing youth and families impacted by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
- Their preventive efforts disrupt unhealthy patterns and motivate youth to choose a productive lifestyle while providing them with the life skills and tools they need for success.
They provide the tools, encouragement, guidance, and support to enable long term success and help prevent against potential obstacles leading to potential adverse childhood experiences.
