The CARE Group, Inc is a nonprofit merger organization of Moore Buddies Mentoring and Moore County Literacy. They serve at-risk youth and low-literacy adults in Moore County and surrounding areas free of charge.

To equip, empower and encourage individuals through education, mentoring, and enrichment opportunities.
With a vision is to have a community in which families are thriving and youth have promising futures.


One-on-One Youth Mentoring and Tutoring – connects an adult to a student for at least 1 year for a minimum of 8 hours per month.
Structured Day Program – for youth in the juvenile justice system or who been suspended from the school system.
One-on-One Adult Tutoring – for low literacy ABE and ESL students to teach basic life and literacy skills.
Motheread/Fatheread® Classes – to educate parents on the importance of reading to their children.
Adult Digital Literacy Classes – available to adults who want to learn or sharpen their computer skills.
Citizenship Preparation – serves students wanting to gain knowledge needed for Naturalization Exam.
