Giving Children Hope (GCH) is providing sustainable hope through wellness programs in collaboration with local communities and frontline partners. They do this through the gathering and giving of Basic Needs and Nutritional Foods. In 2007, GCH was approached by local schools who spoke about the level of hunger they were seeing in their classrooms. GCH launched the We’ve Got Your Back (WGYB) program to provide consistent nutritious foods to families in Orange County. WGYB currently serves more than 3,500 children and parents at more than 80 schools across Southern California. In 2015, GCH started a Financial Literacy class to grow the skills and knowledge of their program participants. These classes aim to grow the tools that these under-resourced families can use to better the situation for their family. In 2022, GCH is evolving these classes into a Leadership Initiative that will not only educate parents but mentor them on creating life-transforming habits.
