Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP) is a private, nonprofit agency working to mobilize resources and services that help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and stability. For more than five decades, ICCAP has offered a broad range of support for low-income and vulnerable community members â reflecting a sustained commitment to fighting poverty.
ICCAP runs multiple food programs, including a network of 17 local pantries, emergency food assistance, and a senior-food-box initiative, to ensure individuals and families have reliable access to nutritious meals. Their Power Pack program distributes child-friendly, non-perishable weekend food to children in grades Kâ6 across all public schools in the county â helping reduce childhood hunger and food insecurity.
In addition to food support, ICCAP provides housing and shelter services, including rental and mortgage assistance, emergency and transitional shelter for homeless individuals and families, and rental-assistance programs for those at risk of losing housing. ICCAP also offers utility and energy assistance, transportation support (car repair, insurance, registration, or bus passes), and other emergency-relief services to help residents manage financial crises and maintain basic living standards.
ICCAP aims not just to meet immediate needs but to build pathways toward long-term self-sufficiency and community resilience.
